'Mirror Faces' was a Production Experiment as part of my Medio Folio in 2020.

It was an exploration of using animation to add whimsy and dimension to a film. 

I decided to use the technique called 'rotoscoping' where animations are made by tracing over each frame of a moving image.

 

I decided to base the movements of this exercise on the faces I make whilst passing a mirror - whether it be picking at my face, fixing my hair, or just smirking at my reflection.
